VALENTINO HERD OF PEDIGREE CHAROLAIS CATTLE
SHOW REPORT 2005

The Valentino Team in action at Edenbridge Show.
At Heathfield Show the Valentino Herd was right in the
mix up. First prizes for both of the entries was an excellent begining
to the 2005 season. However, the icing on the cake came when Rumsden
Udimore was awarded the Male Breed Championship, and Rumsden Viva was
awarded Reserve Female and Reserve Breed Champion.
At Surrey Show Rumsden Udimore was 1st and Reserve Breed
Champion. Also awarded to the team from Billingshurst was another 1st
prize for Viva, and second and fourth prizes respectively for Valentino
Una
and
Valentino
Unita
in a
very strong
2
year old heifer
class. However, the best of all was when Viva, Una and Unita joined together
to win the prestigeous Interbreed group of three award, beating teams
from the Angus, Highland, Sussex, Hereford and Shorthorn Breeds, and
Martin was able to lift his very first trophy with his charolais herd.
At the Royal Show Martin was delighteed to win a second prize with Rumsden Udimore and a third prize with Rumsden Viva, at his very first try. Valentino Una was first at Kent County show, and Reserve Breed Champion at Cranleigh Show, where the Valentino Team also won the group of three.
At Craneligh Show the team from Valentino picked up reserve breed champion as well as interbreed pairs and group of three awards.
At Edenbridge Show Rumsden Udimore was Charolais Male Champion, plus Reserve Interbreed Male Champion. Valentino Unita was first in her class, Reserve Female Champion and Reserve Breed Champion. Udimore, Una and Unita also won the Interbreed Progeny Group competition.

Shows 2004
The Valentino Herd made a great start to showing, winning a first prize
at Surrey County Show with their only entry, Rumsden Tahoe, in the
senior bull class. Tahoe was really good at his first show, and much
admired by the public for his size and docile temperament. On Thusday
10th June Tahoe was joined by baby heifer Valentino
Una
at the
South of England Show at Ardingly. Tahoe was third in a very strong senior
bull class, and Una was a little star, behaving imaculately in her
class ans on parade, and much admired by all as one for the future.
Tahoe went on to win the senior bull class at Cranleigh in August,
and Rumsden Riva had her first outing of the season there, also winning
her class.
Valentino Una stood second in her class to the Breed Champion. So the
impressive tally so far is 3 x 1st prizes, and one each of 2nd, 3rd
and 5th.
This winter Una and Unita were very successful at
the prestigeous Royal Smithfield Show. They both won third prizes in
their classes.
